Privacy Policy for Midnight Launcher

Effective Date: April 21, 2026

Midnight Launcher (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is built on a core philosophy of digital minimalism and absolute privacy. We believe your data belongs to you.

This Privacy Policy explains how our Android application handles your information.

The Short Version: Zero Servers, Zero Telemetry

Midnight Launcher does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or any third-party servers. We do not have user accounts, we do not track your behavior, and we do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. All data processing happens entirely locally on your device.

How We Use Device Permissions

To provide context-aware features and digital wellbeing tools, Midnight Launcher requires specific on-device permissions. None of the data accessed via these permissions ever leaves your device.

Third-Party APIs

While Midnight Launcher has no servers of its own, it does make direct network requests from your device’s IP address to public, third-party APIs to populate dashboard data. These include:

These requests are made directly from your phone to their servers. We do not act as a middleman. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for how they handle standard API requests.

Data Retention

Because we do not collect your data, we do not retain it. All preferences, saved notes, native tasks, and habit streaks are stored locally using Android’s DataStore. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, all of this information is permanently deleted from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes to how we handle device permissions, we will notify you by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy and through release notes in the app updates.
